Ink trap on diamondback

$

We just got our diamondback last month. Runs great however still learning. We still need a lot of practice registering jobs with triloc and switch screens out seem to be a little messy.

however i received a set of ink traps in my package. We put them on and they were a little tight getting on but we got them in and they work great. Therefore I ordered 6 more but for some reasons we can not get them onto the squeegee bars and be able to slide squeegees on. It's like they are slightly bigger than the set they sent. I spoke with local company sales rep and they said only 1 size so they should fit. Anyone have this problem? Is their a installation video or picture somewhere because I have looked and can not find one.

Sportsman disassemble question

Hi,

we are moving our business to a new location, I have a six color eight station sportsman and I am trying to find out the weight of the base unit by itself with no print arms so I know what size forklift to rent.

when this press was installed I was present when the technician assembled it. I've also watched the M&R videos on assembly and I feel pretty confident about the mechanical side of assembly/disassembling. But what the video did not explain in detail is the wiring connections .

on the top of my press there are six green wire harness blocks do these blocks unclip and plug back in or do I have to disconnect every little small wire for them ? My press is a 2004 6/8 sportsman with servo drive and AC Heads.

lastly if I chicken out doing this all my self Who is the closest service tech to Connecticut ? I'm on New York side of Connecticut.

hope someone can help

Diamondback Air pressure

Having issues with the cushion adjustment. I cant seem to get it dialed in without giving me a sporadic hard bang when the table goes down. Is there a method used in fine tuning this? What should the optimal "in" pressure be? I was told to turn the adjustment screw towards the minus side, but even when dialed all the way still hits hard going down...

Heatwave / Sprint 2000-48 LP Usage

Hi Guys, I currently have an electric conveyer dryer and will hopefully be upgrading next year. I would love to move to a gas dryer. I’m not sure the new location will have natural gas. I am aware that natural gas is a lot cheaper than LP… I have looked at the specs for the Heatwave, Mini Sprint, and the Sprint-2000-48…but I want some real world numbers. Any of you have one of these dryers using LP? If so, would you be willing to share how much LP they are actually using in the real world? Any input would be helpful…

Thanks,
Scott

Maxi-Cure Three Phase conversion

Hi everybody! I recently purchased a used Maxi-Cure MC36-6-3 Dryer. In my ignorance I bought it without realizing it was 3 phase ... I took a look at the schematics ad it seems to me the only difference is a few relays, a digital panel meter and a few wires to move.
Is there anybody here that has done this crossover before? I am hoping to find the parts list I need so I can go down the line and get the replacement parts coming as soon as possible. The dryer details: Serial 129423235M, Model MC36-6-3, and Schematic # 8040680G I have also attached the schematic for the 3 phase (current) and the same model as a single pahse. I am begging for help, pretty please!

Gauntlet 2 Series Revolver won't lock in!!

Machine has proper air supply but carousel won't lock in. Alarms show a Fork off proximity alarm but proximity is good. screw drive is in the right place and not hitting either contact on the side. I have air to squeegees, flood bars, air locks, but the print head moves freely. I do not get an air pressure alarm. It is a recurring issue. I realize when it was warmer it tends to lock in quicker. Don't know if temperature is a factor. Every now and then it will show and AD75 Module error. don't know if they are related. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. It has made my press inoperable. Have called M&R and everyone I spoke to have had ideas but none have worked.

We may be moving...

So we may be getting a new space within the next 6 mos. We are just outgrowing our shop right now.

My question is:

Best way to go about this? LOL

We have a 6/8 Diamondback and a fusion dryer. It was a bitch to get into the shop in the first place. I do not think i could handle getting it out and keep production moving on our manual while this is happening. The equipment was really hard to get it in in the first place.

I was going to have a M&R tech come take it apart and then after we move it have them set it back up again. I will not take apart myself because i do not want to mess anything up that would cause delays in printing.

I was also thinking of hiring movers to move the equipment out and bring it over to new shop. (12 miles away). Once there I can get it in easy enough because of the garage doors. I am worried of them breaking something on the press and dryer though. How do i protect myself against that? Do i have to hover over them and hang out while they move and micro manage to make sure everything gets moved ok?

Has anyone else hired movers?

thanks

Rob

Inherited a 6 color Chameleon and the micros don't move much(if at all) and the off contact is out of whack on each head.I would like to know if there is a manual that would show how to clean and lubricate the parts and get the micros back in working order? Can we calibrate each head to get it back to factory settings? Are there do's and don'ts to cleaning the parts of the micros(eg. Don't use press wash)?A couple of the platens don't seem to be centered correctly on the arms also.Any help is much appreciated.

M&R's Gauntlet press, serial number 00001, is on display at ISS Long Beach. Manufactured in 1987, 80% of the people who built this press are still employed by M&R. 85% of the parts used to rebuild it were in stock in the M&R Parts Department. It has its original bronze bushings and center shaft. Stop by and see it printing shirts at the show!

Reno 18" x 22" flash question

$

Hi Everyone,
we've been up and running our Diamondback with our press mounted Reno flash for about a year now. Generally happy with the flash until we print some longer designs. We're finding that anything over 15" long takes a long time to flash. Forget about flashing an 18" long print. It just wouldn't work. It's usually with white ink. We run into problems near the bottom of our image. We just ran a job with a 15" long white print, and were having trouble achieving a proper flash even after 20 seconds. We were using an underbase specific fast flashing white ink as well. Our flash is set at 900 degrees F. We've got things setup to allow for the most coverage the flash will allow, but are still having problems. Has anyone else run into this same issue?
Thanks.
Kieran

Gas lines on 93 Sprint 48" Dryer

$

Does any one know the absolute minimum gas line piping size that I can use on my dryer (model # SD48-12)? Can a 2 pound gas system connected with 3/4" piping handle the load on this dryer? It currently has a 3/4" pipe coming out of it but the manual states that it needs a 1 1/4" pipe downsized to 1" pipe to connect but when speaking with my gas company, they say it should be able to handle the 3/4" piping.
